Mila turns 3! We celebrated this little lady with just our immediate family 2020 style, which was just as special for her. Of course we would have loved having more family and friends with us, but that can wait, being respectful of everyone's health is a priority. Also, party tip- a small party means less prep, less clean up, less expensive, which makes for a happy mama! I wanted her to pick what theme she'd like this year and she picked Moana. Moana is a top favorite in our house, right up there with Frozen and Toy Story, on the tv at least once a week, think we all even have it memorized by now. But with an always changing toddler mind, I was convinced she'd wake up on party day and want something else. The day before I reminded her that her cake was Moana and her response was, "Nooo, I want Little Mermaid".... cue mom nervous laughter sprinkled with anxiety.
Simple party planning is my jam, I love making things exciting for her but also simple because that's #realmotherhood. Seeing your kid happy makes my soul light up and that's truly what it's all about.
