Gender Reveal - Baby Q. Number 2

Updated: Oct 26, 2020

About two months ago we found out the gender of baby #2! The thought of being surprised was definitely appealing, but the inner planner/need to know now in me knew I wouldn't be able to hold off and wait. Major props to the parents who do, I think that is so beautiful. We all know gender reveals have been a big topic this year; I think it's an exciting thing to see others celebrate what they wish to celebrate, I'm the type of person who loves to cheer on others moments, BUT, as long as it's done smart and more importantly safely.

My hubs chose how we'd find out pink or blue and it ended up being so fun. We handed a friend the tightly sealed envelope that held the gender and patiently (okay okay anxiously) waited to be surprised along with our parents and siblings. Confetti was placed inside a balloon and delivered back to us. My husband didn't just pop the balloon in a typical fashion, but with a bow and arrow. Cue Katniss Everdeen, just kidding, only I am allowed to joke but he does have a bow and arrow and very badass-ly (let me make up words here) perfectly popped the balloon. It happened so fast, my nerves made me feel like I blacked out for a hot second and I had to do a double take once my mind registered the color of the confetti.

We both had boy vibes this time around, so when the balloon quickly popped, we felt really surprised.

We are so excited, bring on that girl mom/girl dad life. We would have felt over the moon no matter the gender, a healthy baby is all we wish for. Thank you again for the sweet words, a few more months until we meet her. As for now I'll keep soaking in life with one, and preparing for life with two. There is a whole lot of nerves, excitement, anxiousness, "can I do this" vibes, grateful hearts, and everything in between going on. Now to hide all the new bows I may or may not be adding to our collection, and to squeeze in as much sleep as we can.
